About Me

- Location: Portland, Oregon, United States
I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

P.S. it wasn't his bbq sauce it was a hot sauce with a confederate flag ironically form california or something it was at a bbq competition called bones and brew so yea see oyu tomorrow

Wow, i still cant beleive that people cant let it go, they werent even there when the CSA became its own country, so how do they support it, especially if it doesnt even exist anymore... Some people need to just let go..

I say that Walsh is right what wasn't in your year let it not affect you. Plus the flag was history. And I think It should be put down from there.

Are you kidding me Carlisle, there is an entire organixation dedicated to the CSA, what do they still believe in slavery and that we are oppressing the sounth worse and worse everyday, this amazes me.. Why do they even bother...

okay, maybe that was a little harsh, that was just a first reaction, after you read the page i think its preety cool that they are trying to preserve thier side of the history so it is not lost forever. I wonder if i have any decendants from that era, that would be really cool to knoww if i have ancestors that fought in this war???

I agree with people on this topic. This man needs to move on from the past, though this "country" did have a influence on our nation's history. Maurice needs to stop and think about what that flag meant and how other citzens feel about it. There was a reason and a good one way it has been removed.
