Isnt there an opposite of what happenend to the guy that got attacked by a shark? Where you freeze up because you are in complete shock?

Yes, a person can freeze up due to fear. Is that what you are asking about?

Kind of, but what determines whether a person freezes up, or their adrenaline takes over and they go frantic?
