A DAY CALLED X--COLD WAR FILM

US History students, here's a great example of the pervasive fear of nuclear annihilation that prompted CBS to air this film about how to behave in a nuclear disaster.

patrick 2nd period-
alright...well whatever-..im ticked...i just sat through 27 minutes of black and white bull....and no one ever died...not even a hint of explosion or violence..oh so cool.

and besides...i dont see why...if the greatest country in the world was about to be blown into oblivion...why we wouldnt send pilots up to shoot down the planes over an unpopulated area...i mean sure we'd sacrafice a few men...but its better than thousands...c'mon...we had like...three hours to do it...and ...people just...played hopskotch all the way to their cars and stolled on down the highway like they were goin to a freakin picnic.

signed- a man called chabreck.

that would be crazy. its sort of a legit scenario because the north koreans are crazy and the west coast would definitly be a prime target for a nuclear attack. spoooky.
