Interesting video on tanks today. Everytime I think of Normandy I think of the scene from "Saving Private Ryan". I've never thought of amphibious tanks in that age, even if they did sink.
And about how much was it for the "Band of Brothers" dvds? I've been thinking about getting it, I want to see more.
I got my copy from Amazon and you can get a good deal on some used copies there as well. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/Band-Brothers-David-Frankel/dp/B00006CXSS/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-5455602-0935961?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1178933209&sr=8-1
You should also check out the book by the same name by Stephen Ambrose. Good stuff.
I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.
