Brad,

I think you're college material. Don't sell yourself short. When you're in class I find your work to be really strong.

Adrienne,

You commie!

243, i wouldn't of been drafted but if i was i would go to canada with my grandfather haha. my dad's draft number was about the same as mine and my grandpa took him out for a drink when he was 18 because he was so happy he didn't have to go. he said that only people with the number 50 or below were drafted at MSU.

Thank god I was bornon the 16th, if I was born a day earlier, or a day later I would have been drafted.

Matt (my brother) would have been drafted too

his draft lottery was in 72' for the 73' draft for people who were born in 1953. he also mentioned the anti-war riots he participated in...and that he didn't get beat up THAT bad

My draft # would have been 332 so I wouldn't have been drafted. Even so i would probably have been in college and would have been able to get out anyway. But the truth is I think I would have gone anyway. It says my dad's would have been 296th and wouldn't have gone but thats not true. He was already in basic training when he got his draft letter. So i don't think that thing is completely correct.

i got 115. i would have gone but i'm a girl so that probably wouldnt of happened but if i was a boy i would have proudly went, just because its a pride thing and i definately wouldn't want my future peoples to deal with communism. I think the people that said they would have gone to canada or mexico are cowards, serving for your country and saving the world like a superhero is the biggest accomplishment anyone could make and no one could ever top it.

p.s.
i called my papa in kaui' and he joined the coast guard so he didn't have to go. what a wuss haha but he said it was brave of me to choose to go. oh and he says hi.

Neat, 73, yay for the draft... I wouldn't like being sent out like that, but I suppose it's my duty as an American. It's nothing I'd run from or try to avoid, I'd see it as I got to do what I got to do, 'nuff said.

But on the other hand, events like My Lai wouldn't have me packing my bags in a hurry either.

# 141.

I'm going to be honest, as much as I respect those who fight in war for our country, I admire their bravery but I would be absolutely terrified to be drafted! I have to many things I want to do with my life, and I can't stand the thought of having all my dreams getting taken away. Anyways I would probably try to go to Canada or Mexico!

P.S.

They wouldn't want me anyway. I'd get killed real fast! Can you see me with a gun in combat?....Yes my point exactly, couldn't do it :)

Okay so my number was 254 I don't think I would have been drafted but if I was drafted I would go to college or move so that way I don't have to go to war.
