These pictures are so disturbing, the amount of smoke and ash is just unreal to me.

I can't believe all of that ash and smoke. It is wierd to see it all over again...

Wow these pictures are amazing. They really give you a clear image of how much of the city was destroyed.

All that smoke... It really does look like something out of a horror film. Or maybe one of those apocalypse movies.

Hey Dr. Carlisle, why did it take so long for these pics to get out to the media?
These images give you a better picture of how the smoke swallowed up many buildings and such. Quite disturbing thinking that there were people inside of all that mess.

It looks like it's eating New York City... Wow.

All I have to do is look at these pictures and listen to a little Toby Keith and I want to knock some terrorist skulls around.

Easy Cronkite, go watch some Rambo and cool off.

Wow! Those are some amazing pictures! But it just makes me so sad to think of what all of that smoke and ash is covering up.

the second to last and last picture are so horrifying... they really give you a horrifically clear image of what happened on 9/11. all of the smoke practically engulfed the whole city. Its so sad how underneath all of that smoke and ash you know that human bodies are being covered...

These pictures are amazing. Its a whole new perspective.

The smoke makes the city look puny. Great photos of something drastic. Someday my kids will be reading history books with these pictures in them.

It's crazy to think it's already been 8 or 9 years since that happened. We got to watch a really cool video in Mr. kitchen's class last year of some raw footage of that day. I think it was one of the firefighters getting it all on camera. You can hear and see the bodies falling and cracking in the background. Crazy stuff
9:33 PM
That's crazy. The cloud of smoke looks computer generated for a movie. I'll always remember the morning of 9/11 vividly.

Gavin scares me...
And amazing pictures, although disturbing.

Wow these pictures really capture this surreal event. Its astonishing how quickly the city gets engulfed in smoke and ash after the towers collapse. Like Jeremy said how come they waited so long to release these photos?

I really like the clarity in the message of the images. The smoke almost looks as if it were water, not as if a weak gas that can be cut through but more a liquid that is soon to devour the city. The angle and the lighting also really strengthens the differentiation between where the smoke is.

The pictures make me sad, because they make me think about everyone who was in the towers and the families and everyone who was affected by it. All the smoke and ash, it's just a lot to take in. I cant imagine being there when it happened.
