I agree Dr. Carlisle. The grammatical mistakes and spelling errors in the story made it very difficult to focus on the purpose of the article. I found it amusing, but also very frustrating, that the people leaving comments complained about the mistakes in the story, yet the comment section had numerous mistakes as well. They should all learn to use spell check.
I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

That appears to be an average citizen posting stuff on KATU's website. The typos in the story and comments section almost made my head explode.
