I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

I'm with you. The images are staggering. The scale of the devastation leaves me nearly speechless.

That is so horrible. All those people have no homes. I hope at least they all got enough warning to get away.

It's amazing what water can do in such a short amount of time.

Did you guys see or hear that The earthquake actually shifted the earths axis 6.5 inches and shortened the day by 1.6 microseconds. Thats crazy.

The first Iwaki one is crazy. So many houses were destroyed... Mother nature shows her power yet again
