Final essays

Essay #1:
As I stated in class, I want two to three things that American citizens and the federal gov't did to mobilize the country for WWII. Big business pretty much did one thing.

Essay #2:
Review your notes and your reading on this material. YOU need to synthesize the material you learned in class and create a coherent essay with a strong thesis. Truman's foreign policy with the Soviet Union definitely evolved once Eisenhower assumed the presidency in 1953. You are not wedded to the five paragraph essay for this question. Be as thorough as you need to be convey your thoughts. However, make your arguments concise and to the point.

Essay #3:
It's extremely straight forward. All of the film clips I showed in class on Wednesday about the Cold War at home will help you immensely. Make sure you address both parts of the question--describe the Cold War's SOCIAL and POLITICAL impacts. Again, if you feel that a five paragraph essay is not adequate to answer this question, feel free to write more.

My expectations for this exam are HIGH. Be detailed in both your ID's and supporting evidence for your essay. Good luck.
