I had a question about the psych readings. They talk about corporal punishment and spanking interchangably, but I thought corporal punishment was the death penalty. What are discussing, the death penalty or spanking?

I was under the impression that capital punishment was synonymous with the death penalty. Corporal punishment is a category of physical disciplinary punishments and spanking falls under there.
