That was really unprofessional of Clinton but I don't think it affected his ability to lead the country.

We know a lot about the domestic fallout of this affair, but was there any international fallout? I doubt anyone would be angry, but at the same time wouldn't it be harder to take such a figure seriously?

Great question Max. Most international leaders at the time thought the whole situation was absurd.

I'm so happy we're talking about this because its one of the things that often pops up when I talk to my grandma.
The funny thing is that a lot of Presidents had affairs with woman. Clinton got caught. That is where everything went wrong. Take Kennedy for example. People knew something was going on. But no just went out randomly and said he was having sex with another person.
Another thing is that in the video they said Clinton had a lot of enemies so they thought he could have been being framed. My grandma always says that when it came out that the house was using it against Cliton because they didn't like what he was doing. It makes sense.

I liked Dick Morris's recommendation on having a President actually tell the truth (Blasphemy!). And yet what did Clinton do? Ignore it. On top of that, what I find interesting is that Clinton said he had to shut his body down sexually upon entering the White House, making me wonder if it was a campaign issue that he was, to put it as Mr. Morris did, an adulterer?

This reminds me of when I was a kid and I would do something that I wasn't supposed to, my parents told me that if I were to tell the truth about what happened, yeah, sure, they would be angry, but they would be much more angry if I denied it and then they found out later that I had lied... It's better to tell the truth from the get-go.

With the expansion of the media and the easy accessibilty of information these days, any little mistake, even if it is false, can affect the entire career of any major political figure. They have to be really careful these days. I'm not siding with Clinton or anything I am just making an observation. I would hate to have to lead that stressful of a lifestyle.

Why would anyone want to become president? It seems like every president ages 15 years for ever term they're in office. I can't believe that Monica Lewinsky bragged about the affair. Oh, and Clinton was pretty stupid too.

Well I can easily compare this to Martin Luther King's affairs. Both Clinton and King were great leaders and made such a huge impact on our country, yet in their personal lives were maybe not the greatest heroes. I don't think the fact that they were amazing leaders should justify or be a cause to ignore their affairs, but no one's perfect, I guess. I definitely think it's a lot smarter to just admit to the affair with Lewinsky rather than try to cover it up like how Watergate and events in the Vietnam war were covered up and get the American people to discredit him.

Lesson of the day, you can lie as long as your not a president. Just kidding! Lying should not be suggested under most circumstances, but should definitely not be done by a president.
