Test Hints
1. If you have been reviewing your notes from the start of the unit, studying for IDs should be easy tonight. Making flash cards for possible ID terms is a really helpful tool for reviewing your notes.
2. MAKE SURE YOU GIVE ME ANALYSIS IN YOUR ESSAY, DON'T SUMMARIZE!!!!
Here's an example of what I'm talking about:
The colonists who came to Jamestown in 1607 did not bring women. Colonists also faced hostile natives when they arrived in Virginia in the spring of 1607.
Here's the problem with the brief passage above, the writer did not explain why a lack of women in early Virginia was a problem. That's what analysis is!!
3. Don't stress! It's only one test and you're going to have tons of point opportunities this semester. Eat a good breakfast tomorrow morning as well. The room will be open early if you want a quiet place to study before the test tomorrow.
Good luck.
