Amazing pictures of the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy. My favorite photograph is #14 which shows some hipster trying to snorkel in the flooding.

I have decided to eliminate essay question #3.

WOW. It's crazy that it's just a normal day for us, but in New York it's chaos. It's just crazy.

And thank you for sharing about essay 3!

Thank you for eliminating essay 3!!!!!!

wow. I honestly didn't know how bad it was. I thought there was just flooding. On another site i saw pictures of Atlantic City andSeaside Heights in New Jersey and the board walks were completely gone. All the rides they had were gone as well. There was a picture of a roller coaster out in the middle of the ocean.

I think it's funny how some people on the west coast don't really know what is going on there and don't really pay much attention to the hurricane. I have friends there so I guess that is somewhat why I am paying a lot of attention to it, but it seems to me like people don't really have interest in knowing what is going on in other parts of your own country.

Hurricane Sandy is so insane!! I couldn't imagine my home being attacked like that. I really think it would be cool to live on the East Coast for a bit but it honestly freaks me out to hear things like this happening.

Taking out essay 3 = Best decision ever.

I wouldn't say that it's "funny" to be oblivious to such a large natural disaster in a highly populated area... It's a big deal and lots of people's lives are ruined because of it. You would have to live under a rock to avoid hearing about it.

Those pictures are amazing! My favorite would have to be number 20 and just my luck, 14 was the only one that wouldn't load for me. I just hope that everyone stays safe and that the damage doesn't get too bad!

Dang! Sandy has flooded the city big time. I hope the deaths on the east coast keep to a small number.

On a different note, it was hilarious on the news when they show the Today show and David Letterman and they show the audience and there is no one in the audience because no one wants to leave their homes.
