I'm sure you're well aware of the devastating tornado that left a massive path of destruction in Oklahoma yesterday. Below is video of the birth of that tornado.

DANG! that is one big tornado! I think it is cool to see a tornado, but it is terrible that it causes so much destruction. I was on CNN and it said that the damage will top $1 billion.

24 dead. What a terrible loss of life. If I were in front of such a tornado, I don't know if I would be recording it.

Tornados and other giant natural disasters are cool when you think about them, but when they really happen it's awful. I feel really bad for all the people that the tornado affected and all the lives that were lost... especially the children! It makes me grateful that I live in the northwest where we don't have things like this.

At least there is a lot of people stepping up to help the people. A chef spent today making food for volunteers who were helping to clean up. I also saw a vet closed down his practice to help pets who survived from the storm to be helped and reunited with their owners.

Yes, tornadoes are extremely rare in the PNW, however, we have to worry about this:

thank god we don't have to go through things like that. But we should all keep praying for them.

The power of tornadoes is really fascinating, but the story of those 7 kids in the school that did not survive is absolutely devastating. My thoughts and prayers go out to those families affected--I have no idea how I could make it through such a natural disaster.

It is really horrible to see the damage this tornado has left behind, especially since this is not the first destructive tornado to hit the community. But it only took them 61 days to clean up last time, so hopefully they can bounce back even faster!

It is devestating what happened. I am suprised that whoever filmed this stayed so close to it. Hopefully they can bounce back fast and rebuild the all that was destroyed.

The formation it takes and how it goes little by little is so interesting! Oh mother nature...the way it develops is incredible. The person who filmed this was very brave, I would hate living in Tornado Alley. Heart goes out to the families.

Wow! Thanks for sharing. The way the tornado formed so quickly amazes me, that seems so crazy. I can't imagine what those elementary school kids felt at the time. It's very fortunate that so many people survived such a tragic disaster.
