i forget the main point of that discussion today about fear but i think there is reason to be fearful in our country right now. because remember a few years back at that protest where children were hit with pepperspray by the police? well i saw a video on it once and it has police footage where they say that there was no reason for using the pepperspray or for pushing the crowd back besides the fact that they were there and wouldnt move. they didnt need to move, no one was doing anything harmful but the police made up that someone threw a bottle and that was what fueled them to take out the pepperspray and use it on innocent people who were merely protesting, using their right to free speech. that makes me fearful. police are a good thing for the most part.. until they start doing things like this. and the risk of not being able to express what i think freely is a really scary thing. heres the link to the video... its on myspace, i know, but its good none the less.
