Well I'm not sure how this test shows what you prefer; maybe if you can identify something quickly?
I wouldn't say i strongly prefer white people over black people, because i put no preference and feel that i don't feel any different around black people as i do white people.

And with the F&M i think i was right on, maybe because my parents are divorced and that lets me see that both M&F's are capable of running a business and Family by themselfs.

Jordanne has asked me to take this test. So I did.
I think this test is absolutely out of line, you cannot base someone's belief in races off of something that is clearly only testing my capability of remembering which word is on which side.
This test said that I am slightly racist against African Americans, when I know for a fact that I have no preference for Caucasian people over any other race.

People,

Okay folks, this test isn't perfect and it obviously can't see into your hearts and minds. However, whether you realize it or not, I believe we all have have one form of prejudice or another.

Perhaps it's conscious or subconscious, but I think it's there.

Kailen (Jordanne's younger sister), I don't know so I can't speak to what you think about other races. I suggest you evaluate your own beliefs towards other races and reach your own conclusions. No online test can do that for you.

I think that these were two awesome tests. After the first 3 or 4 questions, I stopped thinking, and my fingers just did the work. I agree with the first test, but for the second one i'm not so sure about. I definitely would lean towards the neutral standpoint of this topic, because I believe that males are just as capable as females to be career oriented, and vise versa with Family.

Awesome tests!

I'm not too surprised about the gender role, although it is obvious that times are changing and more women are becoming more successful and men tend to stay at home with the children. But for my own interest I would want to be the parent at home with my kids (in the future). I am however a little surprised with the the race response because I don't feel that I think differently of other races and I am accepting of a diverse range of people. I think my initial reaction shows a little preference because of my environment at home and the influence others have on me.

very interesting though.. lets take some more tests like these!

Test Results for Race test:
Strong automatic preference for White people 48%
Moderate automatic preference for White people 13%
Slight automatic preference for White people 12%
Little or no automatic preference 12%
Slight automatic preference for Black people 6%
Moderate automatic preference for Black people 4%
Strong automatic preference for Black people 6%

I think that these results do reflect my hidden thoughts but I don't think I'm fully capable of changing that because of society and the environment I was raised in, but I don't agree with these results really because I think being prejudice towards blacks isn't right I have many friends who are of different nationalities and I hate racism and have seen how bad some people are and it upsets me.

Test Result for gender test:
Strong association between male and career 40%
Moderate association between male and career 15%
Slight association between male and career 12%
Little or no gender association with career or family 17%
Slight association between female and career 6%
Moderate association between female and career 5%
Strong association between female and career 5%

I think that these results do reflect how I feel because I do feel that the man should be the one who goes off to work and makes the money each day and the wife should be the one who stays home and takes care of the kids and the house so that when the man gets he can relax and have dinner waiting for him and spend time with his wife. I guess I'm old fashioned like that but it's not like I'm against women getting jobs, if they want to take care of the kids and the house and making dinner and have a job, more power to them but good luck with that...

well, i don't know if it's just my computer but when i click on the green arrow "take race test" or "take gender test" & it doesn't load and all i get is a blank page. I will try to take it at the library or something. sorry.

The article:
It's obsurd for people to think themselves to be non-bias. I would think one makes bias decisons and comments every day based on how we view and believe in certain subjects (that's an obivous though). Everyone is entitled to their own beleifs. I think that people are just ashamed to realize that they are bias in some way or another. The article also mentions that test takers would more likely approach or not approach certain people or dicuss subjects due to their bias scores, ranking low or high. The studies and results through out the 5 pages were a bit redundant proving only one point and not extending upon the subject matter of biasism ( is that even a word?).

see ya in class!

Compared to the average male in the United States i have a sightly higher score in the Hostile sexism. In the benevolent sexism my score was way lower then both male and female.

My mom is very pro-female equality and what not and if she saw my results i think she would be disappointed in me..
