Awesome! Being at Willamette, we missed the entire game :(
Literally got back less than an hour ago...Tigard did pretty awesome- too many awards to count. Something worth noting however, Alex "straight up stud" Turzillo and his debate partner Afina Neunzert won public debate and qualified for the International Tournament of Champions (ITOC), all expenses paid.
Patrick did awesome- he beat the guy who eventually won the tournament in LD debate in a prelim round.
Neil Mistry and I competed in Cross-Examination debate for the first time. It went OKAY..although we didn't break to Semis, my partner Neil got 1st place in Speaker points and I got 6th so we beat out like 24 people in speaks. Having gone through six 90-min. debate rounds (5 of which were on Friday), I'd say it was a true learning experience.
I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

I have to admit, that even though I loathe the "sport" football, that appeared to be a good game. Good job Ian!!!

I missed it, too. I can't say I would've gone had I not been at Willamette, but still...
