This could have been extremely bad.

No kidding... Hope he enjoys his stay in prison.

Good thing nobody was hurt.

Seriously. Kind of hits close to home. But, it's also reassuring that the FBI had complete control.

On the other hand, I find it really strange that, since it was all apparently a fake, they let it go so far. Why not just arrest him BEFORE he dialed the number for the fake bomb? It just seems like a way to scare the public and then reassure them that what the government is doing is protecting them. Maybe a way to validate the signing for the extension of the Patriot Act.

I agree with Aran. Incidents like this just make people afraid and paranoid. I think what scares me the most is that this guy is a natural born American citizen.

They had to let the whole thing go this far because they needed to make sure they had the evidence to send him to prison and keep him there. The FBI handled it in the proper way and people need to see this to understand what is really going on instead of just what the media wants people to know.

I have a lot of respect for law enforcement and the FBI.

Also, he was born in Somalia not the U.S.

Yikes! This guy is messed up! I can't see how this guy wasn't employed or connected with terrorists in the middle east. And the fact that he has wanted to do it since he was 15? I'm glad the FBI knows what they're doing. I agree with Aran as well. Scare tactics are dumb.

This is super scary! My brother was at the tree lighting last night! It's definitely nice to see that the FBI is looking out for us!
