I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

This is the first time i've ever heard this speech, it's pretty cool. I was definitely expecting something else. I'm glad i took the time to watch the full video.

What an inspiration. I expect something like this out of you, Mr. Carlisle. Defending all them hipsters out there. But seriously, I've never heard this speech in its entirety before. I see now why we have a whole day off school devoted to this guy.
