If you've not seen this speech in its entirety, I urge you to do so.

Incredible speech. It got me thinking that if MLK was a good enough leader to convince all of the upset people involved in the Civil Rights Movement to be peaceful when they wanted to be violent, imagine the chaos that would have taken place if he would have suggested violent responses.

Great observation Mr. Merckling. Just keep in mind that the movement was more than just ONE man. It was people like James Lawson, Jim Bevel, Ella Baker, Diane Nash, Jim Peck, Jim Zwerg, Fannie Lou Hamer and many others who made a difference.

Wow, the first time I've ever seen this speech and it was amazing. And yeah that's very true, it's sad to sometimes think about the people that aren't recognized as much as others. However, the impact that MLK had with this speech transcends anything other civil rights activists simply couldn't of accomplished. Yo think about what would be today without MLK!

I love this quote, "The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges."

This speech made me even more excited for the Congressional Academy and learning about this exact speech in great detail. The things that one man can accomplish are great, the obstacles that one nation can overcome are even greater.

Great speech. I bet a lot of white people were also moved by this speech. His speech reflects how much freedom they wanted and provokes emotional response. MLK, along with many others, created the US of now. Thanks to MLK, civil rights movement had an amazing progress within 50 years of its initiation!
