About Me

I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

Oh, man...that's-to put it mildly-a bit embarrassing, isn't it? Oh well, at least Mississippi has finally caught up in the amendment department...

That is crazy that a state could forget about ratifying the 13th amendment and now decide to do so! At least they got it done now. I bet Steven Spielberg never knew that his movie would be so important.

Wow, that is crazy. I can't believe they went that long and then never ended up making it official...at least it's finally ratified for them!
