I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

How is a gun safe just because not many crimes have been committed with it in the past? Also, I'm sure designing something to print is much harder than the tech-savvy man leads on.

I feel as if somebody just ruined the 3-D printer for everybody. I worry that because of this type of thing that the government is now going to put regulations on 3-D printers making it much more difficult for people to create stuff like this with them.

Will government have to chase technology again in order to regulate it? How would you regulate the homemade manufacturing of guns? You can't. Could this be used in some massacre? Sure, it depends on how popular this printing guns thing is. Having a gun in pink plastic would sound cool if I cared.
And Alan, if you're printing a car, there are no manufacturer markups so a Porsche will cost as much to make as a BMW.
