More clarity for essay #3:
Here's the link to the book that I discussed at the beginning of class today.

Here's what you need to think about for your essay: in the minds of an American who was in favor of Revolution in the 1770s, did Great Britain act tyrannically or not? The evidence would seem to suggest that in the literal sense, Great Britain did not act tyrannically towards its American colonies.

However, the Revolution was about more than literal tyranny from Great Britain. It was a revolution of ideas, ideas that were grounded in the natural rights of man and whether or not a monarch had the right to govern the American colonies. You need to examine the issues that affected the colonies in the 1760s and 1770s and assess whether or not they posed a REAL threat to the life and liberty of the American colonists. Support your assertion with SPECIFIC EVIDENCE

****PLEASE DON'T FOCUS SOLELY ON THIS ESSAY QUESTION. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL GET THIS QUESTION ON THE UNIT EXAM!
