The corporal punishment video really struck me! I can't believe the administration in that preschool used a paddle on that little boy! The mom never even heard about it either until her little boy told her. This just isn't right! I think that she did the right thing in removing him from that preschool! I agree that the use of corporal punishment should not be used. Its use may prove to be beneficial in the moment, but it can have a seriously harmful effect on the child in the long-term.

I look forward to hearing more of your comments during our Socratic Seminar on Thursday, Kaitlyn.

A school should never be allowed to use corporal punishment on a kid, especially when the legal guardian never gave the school permission to do so. It is also crazy how racism and gender play a role in the use of corporal punishment.

I don't think that children should be punished at school by teachers but should be told by the parents and see what they want to do about it not just take matters into you own hands.
