good video today. i say i'd have to agree that if the illegal immigrants have been living in the U.S. for more than 5 years without a criminal record, then they should be allowed citizenship - because they haven't caused any trouble while they were here. the only thing they're interfering with is the population issue. other than that, they're only trying to make a living like everyone else.
--i was smuggled into the U.S. -- when my parents were being interviewed in order to get a green card, my mom was 6-7 months pregnant with me. she wasn't allowed to fly to the U.S. if she was pregnant. . . i'm illegal. =[
im sorry i was drifting off during the video, haha it really was interesting though. i dont like debating the subject though because it is too controversial, half of me says 'they arent doing anything wrong so its okay' and the other half says 'the US had to work to make our country the way it is so who says they cant do the same in theirs?' but then it goes back to 'there are other factors that dont allow people in those countries to ever be like US citizens are' so i dont know, its just annoying.
I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

Zanroe,
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. There's no simple solution with illegal immigration and citizenship.
Thanks for sharing that story about you and your family. I really appreciate that. Have a great weekend. Study your notes!

Get at least 9.5 hrs of sleep tonight. Study your notes too.
Immigration is a very tricky issue and there are no easy answers that's for sure.

Are we going to have a review session for the mid-term?
By the way there was no clicky thing under April 10th, hence the reason for me writing here.

You should rent this movie called, "A Day Without A Mexican." Then we'd know if immigration is a good thing or not! (It is)
