Mr. Carlise? I was wondering if it would be possible for me to switch IA topics. I haven't started my bibliography yet so it won't be a problem for me. I just wanted to see if it was ok with you. I want to change my topic to NAFTA instead of my other one about clintonomics. Is this ok with you? My question will be "How did the implementation of NAFTA effect the U.S economy and the economies of other countries" or something like that.
Carlisle, I think you should teach us the difference between "effect" and "affect." Seeing all these people use "effect" as a verb is really bugging me! (no offense, Max) I'm not sure if it's a verb too, but last year Wilson told us it was a noun.
Sorry Charlottle. I do know the difference between "affect" and "effect" and i just made a mistake. Looking back on that I dont know how i missed it. Usually I'm really good with grammar. Thanks for correcting me though.
My bad Carlisle. I promise it won't happen again. Oh, and I'll just focus on the U.S and see how NAFTA "AFFECTED" jobs, unemployment, exports, imports and all that fun stuff. Have a good weekend Mr. Carlisle. Thanks for making history so fun and interesting. Its my toughest class, but its one of the most fun ones I have.
Your new central question sounds good, however, I worry about you finding three primary sources for it. NAFTA is not my forte.
Thanks for the kind words Max. I really appreciate your effort to participate in class discussions. If it wasn't for you and a a few other students who step up daily, I would really dread third period.
Wouldn't it be possible for me to get quotes or something from Bill Clinton or someone else who was key in passing or creating the bill? How substantial does a source have to be? Does it have to be huge like a book or something or will a quote or speech suffice?
I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

Hahaha, I didn't do that Colbert Nation stuff, I don't even go there... Well I do now that I found it, from that kind anonymous.
Have a good weekend Carlisle.

Fair enough Kyle. Sorry about the confusion.
Which Amendment group did you sign up for?
Have a great weekend.

Ummm, Because I'm a strong opponent of 3 or 4 of the options, and one was full... I got stuck with the lower the voting age one.

Kyle, I can't help but admire your eloquent style of speech online.

Thanks... I know that my speech oozes with an unparalleled complexity, the likes of which rivals that of the greatest speakers in the world!

Max,
Besides the affect/effect thing, YOU MISSPELLED MY NAME!!!!!! Don't let it happen again. ;)
I like your new question, however, its focus needs to be more narrow. I would assume you would focus on Canada, Mexico, or the United States right?
Charlotte,
Thanks for acting as the grammar cop on the blog.
