I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

Yeah, MLK was an extraordinary person. Who killed him? Was it someone from the government or what? It just said a rifle wound to the neck...
Also Mr. Carlisle, did you ever hear about the controversy with Mitt Romney talking about his dad and MLK?

A white man by the name of James Earl Ray killed Dr. King. Just like with JFK, there are conspiracy theories surrounding Dr. King's death. We will discuss Dr. King in great detail next semester.

MLK was a really cool cat because he wasn't all for just fighting back and approached civil rights peacefully which is way cool, and even though it sounds kind of bad i think that his assasination only made him more important to the nation.
