....okay....odd. I didn't even know the Smithsonian had bathrooms. But what I'm not sure is why the Smithsonian agreed with his idea. They must be getting paid to do this.

Also Carlisle, can I meet with you after school tomorrow, to look at essay outlines?

I agree with John. If they respected the Natives' war strategies and culture so much, why didn't they try to learn from them? Why would you go slaughter that many people if you truly have respect for them?

Chalotte Black Elk,

I think it boiled down to this--the officers were doing what they ordered to do, whether they liked it or not. I also think racism was involved as well. We're going to discuss this in great detail tomorrow. Good questions tonight!

Yeah I agree with John and Charlotte, it seems strange that they were so interested in the Indians and they respected them, yet they slaughtered them and robbed them of their cultural identity? And they knew they were having a bad impact on the Native Americans as well, but I guess their loyalty to their country won out.

By the way, have you seen Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee? It was on tv a while back and I was just wondering if it was any good.

I just saw Bill O'Reilly making fun of this. He made some stupid joke about why it's hanging by the bathrooms...
