I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

Wow. So that's the guy you were talking about in class today. That's incredible- it's good to see that even though something bad like that happened to him, he still overcame and continued to pursue bike riding. It's a good attitude/mindset.

There is a Brazilian in the skateboarding world that does something like that. His legs never fully developed so he skateboards sitting down using his hands. Here is a You Tube link. Check out a little bit of it.

That's really cool. This guy spoke at our Easter service last year that had no arms or legs but had the best attitude I've ever seen. These kind of people always remind me to do more thanking and less complaining!
