The Libertarian Party held it's national convention yesterday. Their nominee? Former Republican Senator Bob Barr. Some think that he may play a "Spoiler" role come the general, stealing votes away from McCain (much like Ralph Nader did to Al Gore in 2000).

They have very simple reasoning for this: McCain is a very moderate Republican, while Barr is fairly conservative (he is most known for leading the push to impeach Bill Clinton). This should, in theory, make it possible for Barr to connect with the conservative base and gain votes.

It will be interesting to see if the Democrats dreams come true in this matter.

Bahng,

I don't remember. That's why I put things like that on the board. You should read about 1968 and the end of the Vietnam War. I think you can find that it your book. Good luck and happy reading.

I know Charlotte. I just saw. How very sad. I was thinking the exact same thing. Great director and a pretty good actor too. We are getting older...
