Snow School

If school is cancelled tomorrow (which it won't be, but whatever) I expect everyone to be here at 9:30 and 1:20 respectively for IB US History. Tomorrow I will lecture about the election of 1856 and the beard stylings of presidential candidate John C. Fremont.

Re-enactments of the Donner Party's expedition and/or Valley Forge will take place for extra credit in Cook Park.

See you tomorrow!

You're out of luck. Can't find my snow-shoes, besides Joseph McCarthy has already captured my attention. *sigh* I guess you'll just have to extend the DBQ and IA deadline. And to think I was really looking forward to Friday...

Alright Carlisle I will be sure to get my snow shoes out and start hiking now! I will probably take me that long in this crazy snow storm! I will just take a few extra people with me in case I get a little hungry on the way.

I'm going to bike over to Wilson's class. If I don't report back to the blog in 1.5 hours, please call out the National Guard.

IAs are still due Friday at this time. There is no change. I repeat, there is no change.

Friends,
I drew the short straw and my parents are looking pretty hungry. School closure or not, I doubt I'll be there tomorrow (at least not all of me.) Carlisle, it's been fun. I'll have my mom turn my IA in.

there isn't going to be school tomorrow!

the roads are going to turn icy!

We should do Valley Forge and the Donner Party at the same time. That way the hungry Donner Party kids would be trying to eat the Valley Forge kids, who would probably be shooting at them. Expect heavy causalties.

Carlisle, or anyone else out there who is done with their IA, I don't remember if we are supposed to cite in our analysis and conclusion or not? yes or no?

Rebekkah,

Cite in the analysis if you need to. Conclusion, not really.

I'm BACK NERDS!! It's bad out there and I do mean bad. The roads are in bad shape in SE PDX. I just walked back from Wilson's house.

As I stated in class on Friday, it looks like we're not going to have school tomorrow. I'm also glad my predictions of snow came true.

As a fellow Lauren, I take offense to you banning one of my kind from the blog. It almost appears as if you hate America...

I had a dream last night that could DEFINITELY be Freudian-analyzed.

I dreamed that poop was falling from the sky and I hid under a white ford truck but somehow the poop fell under the truck and I was like oh crap (no pun intended) but when I got out from under the truck I did not have any poop on me. Incredible.

Easy one Narintohn. You are obviously in favor of the $15 billion bailout for the auto industry. Next.

That's what I thought. Or maybe I have an unconscious fear of fecal matter but really I shouldn't be afraid of it because it's not going to harm me. It only smells bad. Like Lauren Ervin :D just kidding, Lauren.

I once had a dream that a giant angry monster caterpillar was yelling at me to vote for Al Gore in the 2000 Election. I woke up screaming.

Here's one that's history-related: I had a dream that I was a Confederate soldier in the Civil War. I was riding a horse. Everyone else in my regiment got killed in this particular battle. I was the only one left. So being a coward, I tried running away. But my horse got shot and we fell. Union soldiers took me as a POW. Some time had passed and I was reading the obituaries in the newspaper. I saw my name and picture and that I had died in 1970something. I had this dream in 5th grade.

Also: Narintohn, I just want to say that your dream was not very princess-y. I'm very dissapointed in you.

Yay snow! and it is getting more wet which means it will be icy which means no school tomo!

Laurens... can't wait to drive by, I hope your snowman is in one of your front yards. I am making one later hopefully ha.

And Carlisle can we please go act out the Donner Party?! I could really use the extra credit and I'm getting kinda hungry. Now the question is who would we eat...

Erika we tried to make the most epic snowman ever, and failed. The snow was way to powdery...LAME.

It is really cold (obviously) though and it started snowing/hailing and it was windy and hurt our faces, as Lauren and I found out. It is really pretty at cook park, its perfect donner party extra credit weather!

We tried making a snowman at our house, as well, but it didn't work out. On the other hand, we did make a lovely snow pile.

Also, since we live on Bull Mountain, we were sledding so much on our street. It was awesome!

I love snow! >|< >|< >|<

Carlisle-
You would ride your bike in the snow to go hang out with Wilson. I expect you to mention your play date in your weekend reflection when we have class again sometime. Did you race today? I would be very impressed if you did. That would be dedication.

Alex,

I would love to see video that. Stay warm people.

Carlisle,
we better not have class til Wednesday. I cannot start or end my week without you!
Stay warm.

O is Wilson carrying around a clipboard to make sure his toddler makes it to nap time on time. I'm sure the little one doesn't like 30 min detentions.

Blogger Mr. Carlisle said...

Malamphy! I'm fairly confident we will have classes tomorrow. Most likely on Wed. as well. After that who knows. More snow is forecast for Wed. Ugh.

Wilson's toddler was serving a 30 minute detention when I visited yesterday.

So Carlisle,
for once in your life, you were, INCORRECT! wtf?! No school tomorrow. Lucky us.

and a toddler serving a 30 min detention makes me think that us older and more mature people, need shorter detentions.
