Is my Grandmother going senile or is she correct in saying that people are talking about making school 4 days a week to save money?

Wow, this is an intense video. I think it shows us how ugly the media's vision of the female is. But on the flipside, there is this organization that wants to lessen the impact that it has towards the cisual of women. I dont think that it is right for the media to portray women in that fashion. I can't and won't be able to fully comprehend and even begin to understand the pressures, but what this can do is open up the eyes of the media. this is actually beneficial in some cases. but in others, again, just like the bill board, it is an advertisement. The ad is for Dove. thats clear and in the print. But some questions that come up are,
1. Does Dove want people to buy their products because it helps the "self esteem fund?
2. through deontology, is the intent of the company to change the visual that the public has on the media and how that links to the portrayal of the image of women?

im not a psych student, but...

interesting video.

also about the four days of school thing... At my middle school (M.I.T.C.H. charter) it was k-8 and it was 4 days a week. no fridays, ever :). But feild trips were on fridays and so were anything else, so we had a little longer days and never missed a mon-thur. (unless it was a holiday) We also started school a week earlier than the other ttsd schools...

That's crazy to see the before and after of her. But I've always wondered how long it took for her to look like that.

Wow, really? I knew images were air brushed & stuff but...the billboard didn't even look like the original girl! That's sad.
Everyone should know that nobody has extremely flawless skin because it's all done in editing

This vid is messed up, tells us about how f***ked up the Media is. And to think people in general...when they look at this, what do they actually think of this?, its not even in real, its all fake, and edited. Not to mention the pressures females go through when they see this, and actually want to look this beautiful. Heads up to the people who admire things like models and etc, and strive to look beautiful like whatever the media puts up as of.."how a beautiful woman should look like" (norm). Not all that is shown on media is legit, its just want they want you to see, the lie not the reality..Lol.
