It's a truly amazing interview. I can't believe the interviewer got Nixon cornered and got him to talk about Watergate for the first and only time ever publicly. It was funny because Nixon, though he alluded and basically confessed to wrong doing at Watergate, he never actually admitted any wrong doing on his part in that scandal. I thought the interviewer cleverly worded the questions and stringed them together to get Nixon flustered and his tactics worked to get Nixon to talk about the scandal. Overrall a brilliant and compelling interview!

I thought the interview was excellent! But it does seem as though every aacomplishment of Nixon's has been forgotten, and Watergate is the sole mark of his long, impressive political career. Come on, no mention of the Kitchen Debate?

(I think this belongs here)
I cannot believe Nixon never actually confessed and that whole movie was a joke. That movie was so good until you told me that. This is like believing in santa.

wow, that looks like it would be interesting. i like how they play it up. doesnt that guy feel sad about bombarding nixon with all these personal quesions, and then getting emotional responces. he looks old. what happened happened years 5 years before the interview, and lets face it, everybody makes mistakes, its not like presidents are these "godlike" figures that can do no wrong. i dont know why everybody hates nixon so much. it bugs me.

Well he did perform quite a few "dirty tricks" that to me qualify as a good enough reason to dislike him. While "everybody makes mistakes", it's one thing to make a mistake and another to cover it up and not admit to it. Plus his "mistakes" were pretty severe.
However, I don't think Nixon should be judged solely by Watergate, just as I don't think Clinton should be judged solely by his lying under oath.
