i dont see a big problem with that if it is only for saving money for the district. i would like to see how much they are actually saving by doing this. also if the kids wanted to eat meat, then they could bring it to school. i dont like that peta, and that meatrix thing got involved because the school district didnt do it to promote vegitarianism. it makes people think it was a political stunt, and makes people feel like forced.
i would like to see this:) haha I think it makes sense though, the district saves money and if you don't like this then you can bring your own lunch or go out to eat. Plain and simple.
I dont think this would hurt anybody, it might benefit some in a way? If you feel that the school does not have something that you like, or you do not agree with the choice of the school then you can bring your own lunch.
Are school lunches are bad anyways, any change can hopefully only be good change. Personally i dont eat cafeteria food but if this vegetarian Monday made lunches healthier and cheaper i would get it
I think this a good idea considering the fact that our country is in danger of children becoming too obese and it would help the school to save money for the teachers and student materials.
i think this would be cool to try, especially if it cuts costs. but it's kind of a common misconception that eating vegetarian is necessarily healthier.
A recent study showed that children who ate meat developed more muscle mass and scored higher on mental testing than children who did not eat meat. --www.healthylivingnyc.com
Well, there you go. Meat is better than no meat. This is a bad idea. I don't want to see it at our school either. And it's not about having choices at school, because as people said, bring it from home. Its about the school providing healthy food that will benefit students. Meat has always been good for people. I see no issue about meat being not a healthy choice. Dumb idea.
This it totally acording to the left's agenda, I dont think that the school should be able to impose this apon the children. Of course if we had a privatized school system we wouldn't have this problem at all.

I don't think there's any harm trying. It would be for one day, I think they could survive. Not all vegetarians are commies!

I'm not against it...It's not really a bad idea. Personally, I see myself wanting hamburger afterwards....but that's just me.
