Your data suggest a strong automatic preference for European American compared to African American.

I think I got this results because i paired African Americans with bad things automatically. News and other factors may have me associate African Americans with bad things.

I have a moderate automatic preference for european americans compared to african americans. That doesn't surprise me too much, My mom's side of the family is Italian and I grew up around them so i'm more familar with european americans so the preference makes sense.

i was found to have a slight automatic preference towards european americans than african americans. i dont think this has any deeper meaning then how fast you learn to react with the words and pictures on the screen. it is just learning which side they are on and when they switch i think it is harder to relearn it. i would like to see results for a black community, versus a white community and see how they contrast before i come to a conclusion.

I knew something like this would show up. Things just went faster when I was clicking for the white people and good things. I also kind of agree with Jeff. It could just have to be with how fast your brain processes the images and sends the messages to your clicking finger.

Your data suggest little to no automatic preference between European American and African American.

I tend to think in a more neutral mindset towards race. As shown above.

It got me when it switched places. I don't think I have a preference for any race, just as long as someone is a good person, they can be bright green for all I care.

I think part of the reason I got this result is because it messed me up when the words switched places. I made a lot more mistakes when they did this. Another part of the reason I got this might be because my family is a lot more cognizant of European cultures compared to African American cultures. Also, all the negativity associated with African Americans must have been buried subconsciously in my brain and caused me to perform the way I did.

I new the Test was going to work like that. I honestly could not remember the place of the words. That does not mean that I have Preferences. I honetly feel the same about both groups.

I think this is true becuase I'm not exposed to african americans as much as european americans.

"Your data suggest a moderate automatic preference for Young compared to Old."

This was tricky, the beginning of the test put the words "bad" and "old" next to each other and then had me re-distribute the words with "good" under "old" and I got all thrown off and was slow and I hated this. haha

Quite frankly, I do not believe the results of this test are very accurate, because i don't believe it goes into our minds deep enough to produce a real answer. I would say that in my opinion, I feel equally about both groups, and if i DID prefer one group over the other, it would be the european americans just because we live in a society where African Americans are often disregarded and looked down on.

I don't think this is correct but I probably got this result because I hang out with mostly the same people every day and the majority of them are white

Im not really sure how I got this. I think I got this based on my reflexes were more directed to the right side where mostly black people showed up.

"Your data suggest a moderate automatic preference for African American compared to European American"

In my opinion this isn't very accurate. I don't think I really have much of a preference toward either race, so I would have thought that would have been my results. We have more exposure to European Americans than African Americans, and I assumed that would have been my result if not equal. Basically I think it comes down to reflexes and reaction time, not just the individuals preference.

if african americans were first paired up with good, then i would be moderately racist towards white people. the switch threw me off at first.

I figured I would get something like this. I don't have any preference between the two. I don't really understand how they would know if I did though.

Somehow, I think I am neutral to both European and African. The test was headache, fast & furious...
