- Location: Portland, Oregon, United States
I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

I like how at the end, it sounds like an uprising, and an uprising of people united, just as we as a nation had to do after 9/11

I wasn't really aware of what happened a decade ago. I'm still detached from it all. But the impact of it is still felt today, and as a result, I'm interested in studying the events in-depth.

I heard this a few times over the weekend. It really reminds me of what our country has been through and what we have done as a result of it.
