Walter Cronkite and the Vietnam War

I think this broadcast is so memorable and mind changing (the one their referencing) because he didn't narrate the information, forming an analysis for the viewers like other broadcasts. He was successful at keeping his opinion and the facts separate allowing people to decide for themselves.

It is interesting how support for the war went down just because the war was televised. I guess people have to see things for themselves to really start caring.

I'm glad he didn't give his own opinion in his broadcasts. Media has a lot of influence on viewers.
Now the government has learned. They don't show gruesome war footage on television anymore.
