The government never likes talking about its atrocities. Fear is what caused the guardsmen to fire on the strikers and their children. Was the United States a more corrupt nation back then or would this still be happening today without the countless regulations today?

The country's values and its people have changed dramatically since the Ludlow Massacre. Workers got the right to collective bargaining during the New Deal thanks to the Wagner Act and unions gained more acceptance in the nation.

Every country's history has a light and a dark side, including the United States.

And this is definitely a part of the dark side of the United States, I cant believe how little it is talked about! I think it is interesting how he was intrigued to learn more from just hearing one song.
