The government deliberately underestimated, they just wanted as many excuses to go to war as possible.

Not only was the cost astonishing and massively underestimated, but the pictures left me speechless. So thankful for my family members that have served and returned home. My heart really goes out to those suffering from the loss of loved ones-doesn't matter which side you're on, there is nothing more tragic than losing someone in the horrors of war.

With the little that us students know about this war, it is incredible to see the monetary costs of war, but also the human and social costs as well. The picture with the POW hugging his son is just painful...

Hey Carlisle, how much do we cover this specific war in the unit on terror???

The picture of the Iraqi women holding onto the truck of food just hit me..It's sad that I haven't heard anyone talk about the 10th Anniversary all day today.

It's mind boggling to see how much the gov underestimated for the cost of the war. So many lives were lost. The pictures are extremely powerful and it's crazy to see the impact that the war had on civilian lives.

It's mind blowing to see how much was lost and sacrificed for this long war. I have so much respect for people who are willing to give everything for our country. Those pictures are breathtaking.

I have endless amounts of respect to those soldiers who have fought over in Iraq and am so grateful for all that they have done. Those pictures were very eye-opening to the grim realities that the soldiers have to endure. Those pictures of the those people and children especially really break my heart.

The photos are incredible and painful. I mean, all the agony of the wounded and dying are captured as is the eeriness of war. The photos of members of the RAF in their chemical suits, the rows of missiles and the children trapped in the midst of the war are all so sobering and really frightening. Looking at the reality of war through these photos really makes me wonder why anyone would try to glorify war.

Wow. Just one war can cost that much, that's crazy. The pictures are incredible, it's amazing to see the pictures from the edge of a city with all the smoke rising.
