Mr. Carlisle,

For the past coupld of days I have felt sick but because of it being Junior year i have not missed a day. Yesturday i went to track practice when it was raining and i now i'm to the point where my mom refuses to let me go to school, she says i am too sick. I was hopeing you would tell me of any homework in Psych. or history, also if there was any chance i could take my Psych. test tomorrow before school.
Thanks so much,

Sam,

I'm sorry you're feeling poorly. Please stay home and rest today!

If you e-mail at mcarlisle@ttsd.k12.or.us I can send you the US and Psychology homework.

I will look for your e-mail. You can come in before school tomorrow to take your Psych test. If you have 3rd period free tomorrow, you could take it with the B class.

The test we took today was a lot harder than i thought it would be. I feel i could've been more prepared too though. I have issues with writing and i thought i was more prepared than i really was for the essay. I freaked and forgot everything. I just wanted to let you know that i will do better on the next test we have.

Kristina,

I noticed you struggling during the exam today. Don't sweat it. Now you know how I test and what to look for. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help you in the class. Have a good weekend!

Guys--

I am impressed. This is an awesome way to communicate. I am on the Springdale Elementary School Improvement Council in Springdale, SC and have emphasized the need for better communication at the elementary school level. I have encouraged school to invest in a web site vs. the perpetual paper trail (those little squashed notes that I find in the bottom of their school bags).
