Hey there Mr. Carlisle, it's good to hear from you again. I haven't gotten the Tweedy DVD yet, but I'd love to hear the songs.
Here's what The Onion has to say about Obama's run for the White House:

I have to agree it will be interesting. With talking about sexism and new Presidents, I thought this article was interesting.

Jordan,
Great article! That article definitely fits in with our discussion from Friday. I really appreciate it when students find interesting articles/links that are relevant to class discussion. I'm very impressed right now.

Travis,
Any other thoughts on why you think Obama could win?

I'm going to be honest. I'm scared that in the next presidential election if we have either democratic candidate(Obama or Hillary) I think that many people won't vote for the best candidate but either against or for an african american/woman.

Domstrand,
Interesting observation on the election. I don't think Hillary can win at this point, but things may change. There's a lot of time between now and Nov. of 2008.

I think he has a fighting chance..either way its going to be really interesting! I just hope we dont have sexist/racist problems when it comes down to voting.
