I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

My mom worked with Jim Jones' son Stephan in the 80s.

Well it was at an office furniture company in San Francisco called Rucker Fuller. Supposedly Steve kept really quite about the fact that he was Jim's son and not very many people knew. He felt guilty for all the people dying even though it wasn't his fault at all.

Crazy. How did your mom come to find out he was Jim Jones' son?

She said that all the employees gossiped about it. After she left the company she saw him on an interview on the History Channel, and that confirmed her thoughts.
