Carlisle, here's that story I told you about in class today.

Basically, Florida and Michigan both want their delegates seated. And Florida's Republican governor is coming under heavy fire for moving the primary up. He was warned (along with Michigan's Democratic governor) that the state would be penalized if they moved up the primary. He's being accused of doing it on purpose to make it easier for the Republicans to win the general election. Now that he wants the delegates seated, he's being accused of the same thing. Hillary won by large margins in both states, if seated, those 350 or so delegates (about 200 of them hers) would put her in the lead and possibly hand her the nomination. Most pundits agree that given the choice of Obama or Clinton, many Republicans would favor McCain take on Hillary.

There are several options for both states. One is they could hold new primaries. Clinton doesn't want to do that, because while she would probably win both states again (the reason Obama doesn't support this option), the margin would be narrow and the outcome still a delegate deadlock. Primaries are also expensive, and both the states and the DNC have said they refuse to pay for them.

Another option is to take the delegates, split them down the middle and assign them. Neither candidate likes that because it just keeps the deadlock going. Though it would favor Obama, putting him within reach of the nomination.

A third option is to hold caucuses. Caucuses are much cheaper than primaries. Obama likes this option, as he has done well in every caucus to date, losing only Nevada. Obviously, for that reason, Clinton is opposed to the idea.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Will certainly make the 7 weeks between now and Pennsylvania more exciting at least.

This reminds me of that episode of Rugrats where Tommy had a new Bobo doll, and Chuckie was scared of it because he hates clowns, so he deflated it and hid it. lol

Kyle,

That was incredibly disturbing. War does nasty things to some people. It can also bring out the worst in people. I don't know. I'm speechless.

"and here.. a.. creative embellishment, a doll becomes.. a weapon of assault."

HAHAHA! Oh, geeze. That was icing on the cake. The kids are so cute. It is so funny how they seem to get such pleasure out of such a random act. And the girl just randomly came up with hitting a moving object (the tether ball) with an object that moves. She was intense.

So funny.

it almost seems as if its rigged theres more toys for a girls to play with than the boys and the games that boys need another person to use the toys. I also think that you send a child the wrong message if you show a child a video of a person "playing" with a doll then put them in the room with the same doll...... its gonna turn out that most kids are gonna beat the doll. I think the kids are more intrigued by the fact that the doll always stands back up. Its easy to see how a child could sit there and beat a doll for hours. But also how you said that they later show a the same video just with consequences. But put them in a room by "themselves" and watch them do this if you watch the video you see nobody watching but if someone sees you doing this your gonna get in trouble. I think they need to redo the experiment again.

sorry for me being absent i got sick yesterday then had everything hit me today sore throat upset stomach the post-nasal drip. I got Brandon's message. I'll stop by tomorrow before school incase your there.
