Old lady Carlisle and I saw the One Acts last night. The THS Thespians put on a great show. I highly recommend that y'all go and check it out tonight. Two words-- neck brace.

I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

Did you see the newspaper article about the law in Arizona that is punishing employers for hiring illegal immigrants?
Apparently its successful at pushing the immigrants into other states and back into Mexico.
Do you think that if all states did this the immigrants would leave, or just have to become more secretive?
Also, I can't help but think that this could breed a lot of racism, particularly in schools.
The article said that schools are losing a lot of Latino students. I'm thinking that if there were legal Latino students left, they would still be treated as if they didn't belong.

Haven't heard about that latest development in the whole illegal alien saga. I think it will definitely push illegal immigrants into other states. I have heard about some towns and cities that made it a crime to rent to illegal immigrants. That law is having similar effects to the Arizona law.
Keep giving me updates.
