Wow, today was soo depressing. I didnt know that there are situations as bad as Kip Kinkle's. I don't see how or why he did it. I can see the facts and I've been reading for a while, but nothing adds up. I understand that the guy was seriously traumatized and was severely undeveloped and had way too many bad things happen to him, but I can't even begin to comprehend what he was thinking. He admitted to killing, but was his reasoning the truth? and how can anyone really think logically that giving him a gun was the best thing to do to the kid. And alone the fact that Kip Kinkle was given weapons that are extraordinary. Did he really hear voices? what was his intent for all his actions? whose fault was all this massacre and tragedy?

I heard from Massey that we now do not have school on Friday of finals week. Is that true? Will it affect our test?

January 1979 — Brenda Spencer, 17, got a rifle for Christmas and used it to shoot into an elementary school across the street from her home in San Diego, California. Eight children and a police officer were injured, and two men lost their lives protecting the kids. When the six-hour standoff finally ended, Brenda explained with a shrug, "I don't like Mondays."
