Man, the size of their house is like a size of our bedroom!
it's amazing how so many people could fit in there. I cannot imagine sharing my room with at least 7 more people. I think that it would drive me crazy having that many people.

Have to agree with Tiffany about the size. The link and stuff in class today were definitely eye openers about how people way back then had it tough!

Wow. Thats really intersting. I cannot imagine what is would have been like. Well, I can imagine, but it must have been misrible. In the summer it must have been bad when it was all humid and gross, and all those people stayed inside all day.

i wonder if people in the future will look back at our appartments and figure out ways to make them even more sanitary or something. what if what we are doing wont even be considered humain say 200 years from now.

Everything seems so narrow in that apartment. It's strange that they decorate the walls nicely in the hallway but the landlord can barely keep the water running in the entire building. The kitchen seems really empty and the front room seems like it could comfortably fit 1 1/2 munchkins.

It's crazy how people survived in these places with all the filth and feces everywhere. It just goes to show that even though the immigrants might have been thought of as less than human, they still persevered through ridiculous obstacles.
