The verdict for this case was ridiculous. How could he not be guilty? His wife described OJ's Bronco as being the one the killer was driving, the thing with the bloody gloves (although I agree, there are a bunch of things that could be wrong about that argument), the fact that he ran from the police...this guy was at least involved somehow in his wife's murder. And the jury was a little iffy, in my opinion. It's like Emmett Till's case--didn't the two white men have an all white jury, with several people on the jury being friends with the defendants?
i brought up the subject to my dad, and he has no doubt that he is guilty. also, he told me that he had to pay the family alot of money as a verdict from the civil court, and he hasnt payed anything on it to this day. that is ridiculous.
just finished watching the video since i missed it yesterday in class. I never realized how complicated the case was. In my opinion everyone should realize that OJ was guilty. There was insurmountable evidence to convict him. If the jury knew anything about the criminal justice system, they would realize the relevance of the domestic abuse in OJ's past. The jury's naivete and stereotype of the LAPD's treatment of blacks is why they found OJ not guilty. It also helped that the jury was comprised of almost all blacks that have lived and experienced the LAPD's prejudice against blacks. I do think that if the jury was white, OJ would've easily been convicted. Now saying all these things, i still think that the verdict wasn't a huge blunder because it gave blacks faith that the justice system wasn't always against them.
This movie made me really upset. Not just the verdict, and the crime, but the people commenting on it. It was like stereotyping at its best. I just was shocked.
I'm with Allie. I couldn't believe some of the things that were said. It bugged me how the Jury members didn't understand how OJ's abusive past was relevant too.
I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

Tiffany! I hope all is well in Vietnam. Your presence in class is definitely missed.
I'm doing alright, however, like of the most of the students, I wouldn't mind if school was ending tomorrow instead of next week.
What city are you in?

I definitely want to go home. I'm doing nothing now that the funeral is over. It just ended yesterday since apparently Chinese funerals lasts 8 days.
Yeah, I actually miss going to school, well actually only your class. I cant believe I missed your graduation speech too!
I'm in Soc Trang right now where my parents grew up. I think I'm staying down here until I get back since we still have things praying things to do.
