About Me

- Location: Portland, Oregon, United States
I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

Haha that had me going for a second. On a side note, some of the books in Tigard are in the same condition as the one in the picture.

That got me, too. It took me a while. I first realized something was up when one of the students said that they needed "Introduction to civics" to study for math, but someone else was using it for chemistry. Obviously you can't study for chemistry and math from a book about civics, right?

Wow... I believed that. I guess I skimmed over the important bits about using a civics book for chemistry and math. That'll teach me to read carefully, because I feel pretty dumb at the moment.

If that were real I would feel sorry for the huge class sizes trying to all read the same page at the same time huddled in a little corner together...
