I think what bothers me the most now is that people closer to the victim were recording the incident on their phones. Ugh, it just makes me sick. Never mind the photographer. I just hope that some sort of gate or perhaps a set of huge glass or plastic doors are put inbetween the platform and the train. Sure, it'll cost a lot of money, but it might just save lives.
I still think he could have done something more. But i agree with him that something needs to be done to make it more safe when a train is coming to prevent anything else from happening.
There was probably more he could have done, but I buy his testimony that he was too far away and didn't want to be hurt by the homeless man. If I was in his position, I would be screaming "GET HIM OFF THE TRACKS (YOU MORONS)". Of course, we need more testimony there to see if those close to the victim in fact did do nothing besides record it on their phones before we can villainize them. And yes please to the gates.
The man could have tried to help. Why in the world did this man take a picture? It's not helping prove that he didn't have very much time. His testimony didn't seem genuine. But I shouldn't judge because you never know until your in the same situation.
In the photo it does not look like anyone is around where the guy was like the photographer said. I honestly can't see how it just happened to be a good shot of the guy and the train. What I find pretty sick is that the picture has been sold. If he couldn't reach the guy in time, the photographer could at least have deleted the pictures instead of selling them. No one should get money for having a picture of someone's death like that.
