This video made immigration look easy and made it seem as though all immigrants were accepted into American society. With the discussion on immigration in class today I know that was definitely not how it was.

Call me crazy but i'm pretty sure that no one sang while going through the process of immigration because it was not that easy and cheerful

It seems that there were two melting pots. One with American beef, British bread, French cheese and Scandinavian fish, and then one with the waste products of everyone else.

GREAT AMERICAN MELTING POT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~! Totally making this my ringtone now ... nbd.

But in all seriousness, this cartoon portrays the immigrants' journey to America SO inaccurately .. If only immigration was this swift and catchy ..
